Home Information packs Scrapped

Home Information Packs were introduced in 2007 in England and Wales, at that time an Energy Performance Certificate formed part of the pack .

The government announced the requirement for Home Information Packs will be suspended for anyone selling their home from 21 May 2010.

All political parties' support the EPC and are aware that it has to be implemented based on EU law.

An EPC lasts 10 years and is required by most people selling or renting their properties.
